The Hamptons After Prom Rentals

FS 76 Extra: Louis Mignacco!

Louis Mignacco Tesla and portraits by Maurizio Dotti © SBE
Writer extremely prolific and versatile Mignacco Luigi is the star of a long interview about the number 76 of the School of Comics, currently on newsstands and comic books. From Comics made in the eighties for magazines such as Orient Express and Comic Art, collaborations with artists such as Micheluzzi and Zaniboni, up more than twenty years of experience for the Bonelli (Mister No, Dylan Dog, Zagor, etc. ...), the author traces the his career and explains his method of work in eight-page richly illustrated, embellished with a few pages of script taken from the latest Dylan Dog Color Fest. Below is a brief excerpt in the journal all the rest!

What kind of cooperation established with the designers of your stories? What characteristics must have in the graphic rendering, your Dylan Dog?
I write screenplays quite detailed but succinct: I describe only what the designer has to draw, and that the reader can "read" in the individual vignettes. Provide enough graphic documentation, often inserting images into Word files. They are very attentive to the visual aspect, the "disegnabilità" of history, the possibility that the story is not understand by looking at the drawings and reading the texts (in fact, "reading" drawings). I ask the designer is able to tell just by design: the readability of the action interests me more than the beauty of the individual drawings. Legibility is achieved through the dynamism of the images, the editing the page and also with the economy of signs, or at least with a hierarchy of them: a page is read too badly designed, but also invites you to read not too empty. We must find a balance between figure and ground, between expressive signs and other purely decorative.

How is your DD?
do not think there is a "my" Dylan Dog: I try to do the character "authentic" and not to give a personal interpretation. But it is also true that Dylan is a very multifaceted, and that every writer ultimately more illuminating a single face, perhaps at the expense of others. Each of us has a key with which he tries to explain the character.
Once I said that I see Dylan as a "good analyst" means one who listens without bias problems of its customers and finding a solution is not through reason, but with the emotional involvement, that is putting at stake and even "getting his hands dirty." Although, of course, an analyst who promptly falls in love with its customers do not seem to me a model of professional ethics! Among other things, Dylan has his psychological problems, which are expressed in many phobias, and confronts them with the same application that takes care of those of his patients ... Well, no è perfetto, ma a me Dylan piace così!

Home Depot Carpet Patch

chicken nuggets

Annuzza was a little girl and round, had 15 years was very good and had a sweet but reserved, in the saddest period of my life I was very close, was for me the big sister.
Then I was six years, we practically grew up together.

She was often sad, even though he was living in a different phase of abandonment and of detachment from the mother.
Aunt Mary, almost thirty years old, had recently returned from America, where he had lived for about three years home of one of the brothers, and the air was still full of the continent, was young and beautiful English speaking hollywoudiane dressed like the stars, a dominant dynamic and restless character, a tough course, but she was taking care of us and grow just like a mom.

I Annuzza and adolescents, we were often at odds with her, and perhaps it was because of this, in attempt to challenge his Americanisms that we are passionate about the French language.
In this we were supported by her grandmother who was proud of the fact that in our dialect, there are many words French words she knew, cultural heritage, solids relations existing in his time, among French intellectuals and upper classes.

Aunt Mary cooked very well, his dishes were essentially typical of Sicilian cuisine which could give a touch of international use of English terms, which forced us to repeat, and this was not just us down.
The idea came from the magazines that we read Annuzza who was a passionate reader of soap operas, his room was plastered with the posters of his favorite stars, that made her dream.
In these magazines often made references to food and dishes using French terms, and perhaps fu per contrapposizione a quanto ci insegnava zia Maria che cominciammo a parlare francese in cucina.
Allora c'era solo la RAI della cultura, la Mediaset dei "Dallas and Dynasty Beautiful", fortunately was later, otherwise it would have been another point in favor of Aunt Maria!
Annuzza When married we were invited to the wedding, but since getting married in the village we could not go to the illness of her grandmother, who instead wanted to go to the port to give his blessing to the bride and groom leaving for their honeymoon, with the post of Naples.
Then it was possible to climb onto the ship and accompanying relatives from the cab and get on board, half an hour before the ship sailed.
I still remember the "Vasa Vasa" of all relatives, and her small Annuzza
awkward in that huge white dress, finally leading to
greeted everyone with a shy "ni viremu and thank you."
At the bottom of the lineup came up to me saying: "à bientot ma chere!
That was the last time I saw Annuzza.

My Puppy Has A Bloated Stomach

FS 76 Extra: Carmine Di Giandomenico!

L'autore non ha bisogno di presentazioni, ricordiamo soltanto che si tratta di uno dei più talentuosi disegnatori italiani contemporanei che spazia con disinvoltura dai grandi successi americani ( Marvel but not only) to ambziosi and interesting projects to complete author ( Oudeis ) or in collaboration with other major Italian designers (with Bilotta for Doctrine , for example).

The gallery continues with the spectacular storyboards Battlin 'Jack Murdock and Magneto: Testament , for which work alongside the sketch and the final table.

These and other comics (Spiderman Noir, Iron Man Annual , etc ...) signed by Di Giandomenico will find dozens of additional images and materials in the 10 pages devoted to the author, supplemented by a long interview. Do not miss 76 FS!
